When you read memory chip in PC-3000 Flash reader its raw image is stored into "dmp" file (you can find this file in folder of task) sector by sector.
Reared creates the dump of chip in accordance with memory chip parameters (reading algorithm, page size, capacity, etc).
As far as we know all readers/programmers read chips by this algorithm.
Hence you can create task in PC-3000 Flash using dumps read via other readers.
All you need is:
- dump file xxx.dmp (or just rename xxx.bin to xxx.dmp)
- number of physical NAND chips
- memory chip ID or marking
Dump file is the sector-by-sector copy of the memory chip.
You need to know memory chip marking or ID because you should have memory chip parameters while dump loading.
Here's how you can create a task using dump file.
1. Create task, source - PC-3000 Flash
2. Select number of NAND chips
3. Enter total capacity of flash drive manually
4. If number of NAND chips is same as number of dumps then skip step 5
5. Click on first chip and add part (if number of dumps and NAND chips is different.)
6. Click on first chip then select option "Load from file"
7. In the field "File" select path to dmp file
8. In the field "Memory chip" select your chip from database
9. Apply. Dump is linked to task now.
10. Perform same operations to second and other chips.
Now all chips are "read" and you can continue analysis.
